Slide 23 - Energizando o "ba"

Os japoneses dizem que o ba criado necessita ser energizado com sua própria intenção, direção, interesse ou missão, dando um foco que conduz a algum lugar. Os líderes devem fornecer o ambiente para isto. E um pouco disto é gerado – a equipe do Prius é um bom exemplo – por objetivos audaciosos. O engenheiro chefe insistiu que sua equipe questionasse cada norma no desenvolvimento de um novo carro. Isto é equivalente a – e é verdade também no Scrum – a você questionar tudo aquilo que faz. E se não há valor nisto que você está fazendo, seja escrevendo código, seja escrevendo documentação, indo para aquela reunião, o que seja... não faça! Ao não fazer isto é criado um diferencial positivo em sua empresa. E se você é um membro da equipe você esperaria que o ScrumMaster tomasse conta disto para você. E o ScrumMaster irá – algumas vezes com a freqüência necessária, obter ajuda da gerência – e esperar que a gerência cuide disto. Assim, em um ambiente Scrum. Você irá querer energizar o ba através de facilitar a montagem da equipe, da interação dinâmica de seus membros, da comunicação face-a-face e de objetivos audaciosos.

So, the Japanese say that this "ba" that's created need to be energized, Ok? With it's own intention, direction, interest or mission has to be given a focus, so that's heading somewhere. And the leaders have to provide this environment to do it. And some of it is generated – Prius team is a good example – by demanding goals. The chief engineer insisted that his team questions every norm on new car development. It would be like – and this is true in Scrum too – you question everything you do. And if there is no value in this thing that you're doing, whether it' would be writing code, whether it would be writing documenting, whether it'd be going to this meeting, whatever... don't do it! And when you don't do it it's gonna create a big upper on your company. And if you're a member of the team you'd expect the ScrumMaster to take care of it for you, Ok? And the ScrumMaster is going to go – sometimes often has to go to the management and get help from the management -- and expect the management to take care of it. So, in the Scrum environment you wanna energize that "ba" through facilitating collocation of the team, dynamic interaction of the team members, face to face communication and audacious goals.
